Matt Novak

As part of the Kelly Novak Group, Matt focuses on providing clients with institutional-caliber tailored investment solutions, customized financial strategies, and first-rate client service. More specifically, Matt strives to optimize both the asset and credit side of a client’s balance sheet. He does this by assisting in the areas of investment management, retirement, tax minimization, wealth transfer and legacy planning strategies. Matt works primarily with clients who often face complex financial issues: high net worth families, executives (specifically venture capital, private equity, hedge fund and asset managers), attorneys, and successful business owners.

Matt joined Harbor Investment Advisory in 2011. Previously, Matt was an Associate at Deutsche Bank Securities where he began his career in their Private Wealth Management Analyst program in London and New York. Matt Graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Matt holds the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and was named a Five Star Wealth Manager in 2020.

Matt currently serves as a Board Trustee for the Baltimore Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School, on the Board of Directors for Arbor Dog Foundation, on the Alumni Association Board of Governors for Gilman School, and is a past Board Trustee for The Hearing and Speech Agency (HASA), serving for 3 years. Matt is also a current member of the Estate Planning Council of Montgomery County, Maryland as well as the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
