The Baltimore Business Journal is pleased to announce our 2025 Best Places to Work honorees, spotlighting 50 local companies that are going above and beyond for their employees. This year’s honorees rose to the top after a process that began last year with a call for nominations. Harbor paid a fee to enter as a nominee. Investment performance is not a criterion. The nominations were then delivered to our partner, Omaha, Nebraska-based Quantum Workplace, which surveys each qualifying company’s employees directly to ascertain employee engagement. Quantum scores the companies on factors like leadership, culture, benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, and more. To qualify, companies had to meet business location and size requirements and have enough employees working in the Baltimore metro area. All eligible employees must be invited to take the survey, and a statistically significant percentage must complete it for the results to be accepted. From those completed survey results, Quantum Workplace determines an overall score out of 100% for each participating company. We then honor the top companies in four size categories — micro, small, medium and large, based on the number of employees — as the region’s Best Places to Work.
