As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ , Greg helps guide clients through the complex world of competing experts to create comprehensive investment plans. His edge is having a sound foundation of study in the fields of investments, planning and economics while experiencing the real world interplay of markets and emotions. His ability to differentiate among investment managers and techniques allows him to serve families and institutional clients (foundations, boards and corporations) alike.
Throughout the business, economic and market cycles these past 29 years, Greg has honed his experience in a variety of segments within the financial services industry. Greg graduated from The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics. He earned the designation of Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He began his financial services career analyzing creditworthiness, understanding derivatives and investing the internal portfolio at Maryland National Bank, now a part of Bank of America. After eight years, he joined Alex. Brown & Sons, now a part of Deutsche Bank. There he assisted 440 advisors around the country as an internal investment expert and worked with his own clients exclusively since 2000. After 17 years, in 2011, he joined Harbor Investment Advisory, a firm with no agenda other than providing the best impartial advice to clients.
Greg lives outside of Baltimore in Lutherville, Maryland with his wife and four children. Active in his community, he is President of the Board of Directors at the St. Elizabeth School Foundation, a special education school that serves students with disabilities. Additionally, he has pursued his interest in education as a speaker in classrooms for the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education. Additional, Greg is the PTA President of his children’s middle school and holds Officer roles for both the middle and elementary schools. Greg coaches boys’ and girls’ youth sports and enjoys informally helping where needed.
